Use words for vegetables in sentences
Jem korenje. | I'm eating carrots. | Verb "jem" means "eat". Use accusative case: what do I eat? |

Do you eat mushrooms? | Both forms are correct. The first one is like asking: You eat muchrooms? And the second starting with "ali" is like asking "Do you eat mushrooms?" |
Ne jem čebule. | I don't eat onion. | For negation. When negating, the noun has to be declensed using genitive case. See lessons on nouns for more info. |
Nič krompirja prosim. | No potatoes pleas. | Nič is used for "no", "zero" or "none". Again, the nouns have to be declensed using genitive case. |
